一、介绍

1. Introduction

电子科技大学国际青年学者论坛（“成电论坛”），旨在将海内外优秀青年学者汇聚在“天府之国”——成都，促进海内外青年学者之间的交流，增强不同研究领域之间的合作。

UESTC International Forum for YoungScholars (UESTC Forum) aims atgathering outstanding scholars all over the world to Chengdu—the Land of Abundance, and enhancing theinteraction and cooperation between prominent young scholarswith interdisciplinary backgrounds.

我们竭诚欢迎学者参加11月30日的主论坛，学者也可以在12月1日～31日中选择任意的2-3天时间来参加各领域的分论坛（报名时请在备注说明能否参加主论坛以及您意向的学院或学科方向）。

Young Scholars are warmly welcomed to theOpening Ceremony and Invited Speech on Nov. 30, 2015. However, you can alsochoose 2-3 days in the whole December to attend sub-forum in different fields.Please tell us whether you can attend the Opening Ceremony and your intentionschool or fields in remarks.

二、关于我们

1. About Us

电子科技大学是国家首批“211工程”和“985工程”重点建设大学，是中国39所“985工程”入选高校中唯一一所电子信息类高校，也是全国第一所在“电子科学与技术”和“信息与通信工程”两个一级学科中所有二级学科均为国家重点学科的高校。

University of Electronic Science andTechnology of China (UESTC for short) is one of the first 211 Project and 985 Projectuniversities, and also, the only electronic information–oriented university. Itis the first university in China withall the sub-disciplines of the twodisciplines—electronic science and technology, information and communicationengineering—being national key disciplines.

2012年全国高等学校一级学科评估中，我校五个学科位列全国前十名，其中，电子科学与技术学科名列第一，信息与通信工程学科名列第二。2014年USNEWS世界最佳大学排名中，工程学排名全球第91，计算机科学排名全球第95。学校的工程学、材料科学、物理学和计算机科学进入ESI前1%。10名学者入选2014年Elsevier中国高被引学者榜单。

In the 2012 national evaluation ofdisciplines, five disciplines of the university were ranked within top ten, inwhich the discipline of electronic science and technology was ranked first, andinformation and communication engineering second. In the 2014 USNEWS BestGlobal Universities Rankings, discipline of engineering was ranked 91, andcomputer science 95.Disciplines of engineering, material science, physics andcomputer science are listed in the top 1% of ESI. Ten scholars were selectedinto 2014Most Cited Chinese Researchers of Elsevier.

近年来，学校与四川省人民医院合作共建医学院，并成立基础与前沿研究院，大力推动物理、数学等基础研究发展。学校现已发展成完整覆盖整个电子类学科，以电子信息科学技术为核心，理、工、管、文协调发展的多科性研究型大学。

Recently, the School of Medicine has beenco-foundedwith Sichuan Provincial People's Hospital. Besides, UESTC established theInstitute of Fundamental and Frontier Sciences, to promote the development ofbasic research disciplines such as physics, mathematics and so on.Theuniversity has developed into a key multidisciplinary research-oriented universitywith electronic science and technology being its nucleus and featured with theharmonious integration of science, engineering, management and liberal arts.

学校高度重视人才工作，引进和培养了一批在国际学术界享受盛誉的杰出学者，现有院士7人，IEEE Fellow 14人，“千人计划”入选者74人（含“青年千人计划”入选者29人），长江学者26人。

UESTC highly values the development oftalents, and has brought in and cultivated a galaxy of leading people in theinternational academia. The university is clustered by 7 academicians ofChinese Academy of Sciences and Chinese Academy of Engineering, 14 IEEEFellows, 74 selected professors of theThousand Talents Plan (29 among which are selected ones ofthe Recruitment Program for YoungProfessionals), and 26 Yangtze RiverScholars.

成都是国务院确定的中国西南地区的科技中心、商贸中心、金融中心和交通、通讯枢纽。今年上半年，成都GDP总值突破5136亿元，同比增长8%。在国际化水平上，268家世界500强企业已落户成都，数量位居中西部城市之首；成都与美国、德国、澳大利亚等12个国家设立了领事机构；已开通旧金山、伦敦、东京、墨尔本、莫斯科、阿布扎比等80多条国际直飞航线。

Chengdu is the southwest China's three centers and two hubs identified bythe State Council—science and technology center, business center, financialcenter, and transportation and communication hubs. Inthe first half of this year, the GDP of Chengdu exceeded 513.6 billion Yuanwith the year-on-year growth of more than 8 percent. More than 268 companies ofthe Fortune 500 have settled inChengdu with the number ranking first among Midwest cities in China. The UnitedStates, German, Australia and other nine countries have set up their consulatesin Chengdu. Also, there are more than 80 international non-stop routes connectingChengdu to cities includingSan Francisco, London, Melbourne,Moscow and AbuDhabi, etc.

成都是长江经济带的重要枢纽，在“一带一路”战略构想下将会获得新的发展机遇，也将为更多人才引进来、走出去提供重要的平台与机会。

As an important hub ofYangtze River Economic Zone, Chengdu isembracing new opportunities in"theSilk Road Economic Belt and the 21st-Century Maritime Silk Road"initiative. In the near future, Chengdu will provide more platforms and chancesfor talents'bringing in and going out.

三、申请条件（以下两者满足其一）

1. BasicQualifications(Meet one of the following two)

1）青年千人、青年拔尖人才、优青或百篇优博获得者

1. Selected ones of the Recruitment Program for YoungProfessional orNational Program forSupport of Top-notch Young Professionals,or gainers ofExcellent Young Scientists Fund or Top 100 Reward of the National Excellent Doctoral Dissertation

2）年龄在40岁以下；具有国内外知名高校博士学位，并有连续3年及以上的海外科研工作经历；在海外知名高校、科研机构、知名企业研发机构有正式教学或科研职位的优秀青年学者。

1. Outstanding youngscholarsunder the age of 40, shall possess a PHD degree granted by prestigiousuniversities at home and abroad, have at least three years’work experience abroad, and hold formal teaching and researching positionsin overseas prestigious universities, institutions or enterprises.

五、差旅及住宿

1. Travel Reimbursement and Accommodation

主办单位统一安排食宿（免费）；受邀请参会的青年学者自订机票，主办单位报销往返机票（海外学者最高报销1万元人民币/人，国内学者最高报销5000元人民币/人）。

Accommodation is free. Please book youflights after you receive our invitation. The hostwill provide thereimbursement of travel expenses(highest RMB 10,000 yuan per person foroverseas scholars, while 5,000 yuan for domesticscholars).
