Detailed Workshop Information:
Workshop Overview
Over the last few years, we have witnessed a tremendous growth in online social networks and social media, such as Facebook, Twitter, which greatly facilitate the collaboration, information sharing, and other interactions between individuals. Large scale social data is aggregated in an ever-increasing rate and provides unprecedented opportunity for the analysis of users’ behavior, human dynamics and the understanding to the mechanism of information diffusion. Meanwhile, big data brings forth more severe information overload and requires more flexible and robust computing platforms or service paradigms. On one hand, the structure of social networks underlies and constrains the process of the information diffusion occurring on networks. On the other hand, the information diffusion also provides crucial insights to the structural characteristics and even affects the evolution of the underlying network.
Call for Papers
In this workshop, therefore, we aim to analyze the structural characteristics of social networks and to understand the mechanism of information diffusion on social networks or social media. For this purpose, the topics of this workshop include, but are not limited to:
Social Information Network Modeling
Information Diffusion on Social Media
Community Detection and Evolution
Link Prediction and Popularity Prediction
Collaborative filtering and Information Recommendation
Social Reputation and Influence
User Behavior Analysis
Anti-spam for Social Media
Real-time Social Search and Mining
